Here in CEGA we have a lot of activities to offer. Lemme start with our weekly activity, every Friday students and teachers gather all together for an activity. The main reason for having this is all about English communication and socializing with any other.

CEGAでは様々なアクティビティーをしているので紹介します。毎週金曜日に生徒と先生で一緒にアクティビティーをしており、その主な理由は、授業以外の場でも英語に触れる機会を持ってほしいからです。

Secondly ,we have also a monthly activity which enables students and teachers to go out for an outdoor activity. It is one of the best activity because this would help students interpersonal skills and at the same time its an exposure to the cultural differences.

This is a lot of fun because we can share a lot of personal experiences that we have encounter during their stay in Cebu. This would make each person understand why people act like this and act like that especially smiling to everyone!

During this activity, students and teachers have a lot of chances to share their personal points of view as well as their confusions about the culture.

次に、CEGAでは、月に一度、先生と生徒で外出をするアクティビティーをしています。これは生徒のコミュニケーションスキルを養うのと同時に、文化の違いを学べるのに適した一番のアクティビティーだといえます。

生徒と講師お互いがなぜこのような行動し、なぜみんなに笑顔になれるのか、そういった経験を共有し、お互い分かり合えることができます。

このアクティビティーの間、生徒と先生は文化の違いや個人的な視点などあらゆることをお互い知るチャンスでもある、留学中に得られる貴重な体験となります。

Let’s take an example students and teachers went to a certain University (CEBU NORMAL UNIVERSITY) October 18,2019 this day was an Intramurals day for the said school so we took the chance to be part of it.

And it was a success! though we walk under the heat of the sun but it was a lot of fun. Students enable to watched a cultural dance performance from the CNU students, they had the chance to be interviewed by the school press and lastly we had the chance to visit their library . it was a day full of learnings , experiences and fun for everyone.

例として、2019年の10月18日、生徒と先生でセブの大学（セブノーマル大学）にいきました。この日はその大学のオープンキャンパスであったため、大学構内に入る機会を得ることができました。

暑い太陽の下歩き回りましたが、非常に良いアクティビティーで楽しいものでした。生徒たちは、大学生が踊るフィリピンのダンスを見ることができたり、学校からインタビューを受けたり、学校の図書館に行くこともできました。その日は丸一日学ぶことができ、良い経験となり楽しいものでした。

Lastly , students are allowed to hang out with their teachers as long as there is a permission for the management. Students are given the chance to enjoy their last week to be with their teachers like eating out as a sign of their gratitude hanging out to the beach or out of town.

It would mean so much to both sides not just because eating something special but appreciating the effort of someone during your time of studying. This would also make students continue studying English through online because of their strong connection with their teachers it would make them feel easy to communicate.

最後に、CEGAでは許可証を取得すれば先生と外出することが可能です。生徒たちは、最後の週を担当の先生と食事をしたり、ビーチに行ったりして楽しむことができます。

学校以外の場で勉強を頑張った努力をねぎらったり感謝するということは、双方にとって大きな意味があります。教師との強い絆により、生徒たちは講師とオンライン上でも勉強を続けることができ、英語でのコミュニケーションを継続し、さらに上達できるようになります。

まとめ

教室の中でレッスンをするだけが勉強ではありません。現在、オンライン留学、オンライントラベル、オンライン飲み会、オンライン○○、あらゆるものがオンラインで体験する事ができますが、こうしたアクティビティを通してでしか得られないものが必ずあります。

フィリピンと聞いて皆さんが思い浮かべるマイナスイメージは、｢発展途上国｣、｢貧しい国｣などが挙げられるのでははないでしょうか？では、実際にどれ程貧しい、どういった社会問題があるか？ご存知ですか？

これらの問題もオンラインで調べればわかります。ですが、｢百聞は一見に如かず｣という諺があるように、聞くのと実際に見るのとでは全く違います。

アクティビティは上記で述べたように、講師やローカルの人たちとのコミュニケーション、文化の違い等を学べるいい機会です。

今後、留学に来られる方はCEGAに限らず学校アクティビティに積極的に参加したり、旅行やビジネスで来られる方も、ローカルの人達と触れ合い、生のフィリピンを知ってください！
